Topless woman enters Catholic church in North Dakota and destroys statue of Jesus

A woman in North Dakota faces charges for entering a Catholic church in North Dakota topless and destroying a statue of Jesus.

The arrest was reported on Tuesday following an alert call received at the Fargo Police Department at regarding 6:30 p.m.

Marie Reynolds, 35, walked up to St. Mary’s Cathedral in the center of the city and attacked religious property.

When agents arrived on the scene, The suspect was spotted running down the road. where they stopped her

Other than having her breasts exposed, Reynolds had no shoes.

The WSAZ 3 report indicates that the woman was unable to answer basic questions to officers at the time of her arrest and was apparently under the influence of drugs.

Images from security cameras in the church show the suspect when she knocks over a potted plant before heading to the statue. The woman proceeds to tear off the effigy and throw it to the ground.

Authorities wait for an estimate of damages by Monsignor Joseph Goering, but the cost of the sculpture would be regarding $11,500.

Reynolds was supposed to attend a hearing in the case this Wednesday. The woman was being held at the Cass County Jail.

A warrant had been issued once morest the suspect. additional arrest warrant following being charged with assaulting emergency room staff by Essentia Health – Fargo.
