Top Taliban leader Sheikh Haibatullah Akhundzada said that they do not encourage jihad outside Afghanistan. Haibatullah Akhundzada also said that those who went to Pakistan from Afghanistan to carry out terrorist activities would not be considered martyrs if they were killed. Akhundzada also said that Afghan citizens and members of the transitional government should not engage in jihad outside Afghanistan.
“People we don’t approve of should not throw themselves out to fight once morest Pakistan. If they die like that, they will not be considered martyrs”, Akhundzada said in a statement. Akhundzada added that Jihad outside Afghanistan is over and fighting outside the borders is once morest Islam and Sharia.
Akhundzada said that those who violate this law will not be forgiven and the government will not do anything for them. The Taliban leader added that if anyone dies in this way outside Afghanistan, government representatives should stay away from their funerals. Defense Minister Mullah Muhammad Yakub also asked his followers not to take part in such wars.
Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir has issued a stern warning to the Afghan government not to support the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) party and fight within his country’s borders. Sources close to the Taliban said that Akhundzada’s instructions were not under any pressure and as a senior leader, he wanted everyone to live in peace and harmony. The Taliban had previously stated that they would not allow terrorist activities to be carried out in their country.
