* UBS UBSG.S announced Monday that it has completed the acquisition of its competitor CREDIT SUISSE CSGN.S, creating a banking giant with a balance sheet of 1.6 trillion dollars and has 5.000 billion dollars in assets under management.
* The European Commission on Friday authorized the takeover of LAGARDERE LAGA.PA by VIVENDI VIV.PA following the concessions accepted by the latter to respond to the fears of the European executive in terms of competition, in the book sector in particular.
* EIFFAGE FOUG.PA has announced that it will become the sole shareholder of the Millau Viaduct concession company.
* NOVARTIS NOVN.S announced on Monday that it had signed an agreement to acquire the American group Chinook Therapeutics for an initial amount of 3.2 billion dollars.
* TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI – The American investment fund KKR KKR.N raised its offer on the fixed network of Italy by at least two billion euros, to more than 23 billion euros Italian operator, said two sources familiar with the matter.
* AHOLD DELHAIZE AD.AS is “regarding halfway” to its target of increasing non-food revenue by 1 billion euros by 2025, group chief executive Frans Muller told Archyde.com.
* BIONTECH 22UAy.DE finds itself in court on Monday, with a German claiming damages for alleged side effects caused by the group’s COVID-19 vaccine. This lawsuit which might pave the way for hundreds of other lawsuits on this file in Germany.
