It’s already time to say goodbye. Portuguese, Italians, English, Swiss, Norwegians… return to their club following an international break rich in lessons. The 53 nations involved in these qualifiers have all played at least half of the qualifying matches. It is therefore already time to take stock, nine months before the start of the German Euro.
The teams with the best chance of qualifying according to the Gracenote statistical institute are as follows: Portugal (99.9%), France (99.95%), England (99.9%), Austria (99.7%), Belgium (99.7%), Scotland and Croatia (99%). The other six countries with more than 90%: Spain (98%), Hungary (97%), Switzerland (96%), the Netherlands (95%), Serbia (93%) and Denmark (91%).
As a reminder, the first two teams from each of the ten groups are qualified for the final phase. In the event of a tie on points, direct clashes will be decisive to decide between two countries.
Twenty teams will qualify through qualifying. In addition to three tickets awarded by play-offs between twelve teams having achieved the best performances in the Nations League (2022-2023) and that of Germany as host country. In total, 24 nations will compete in the final phase in the various German stadiums.
