Glastonbury
Aged 50 years and dust, this pioneer of English festivals who donate millions each year
to charities shows no signs of slowing down for its 2023 edition. A tremendous diversity will be in the spotlight as much in the generations (from the teenagers of the Star Feminine Band to the deans Sparks and Elton John) as in the musical styles on display . Cult.

Launched at the end of 2008 on the occasion of the centenary of futurism, this Turin festival has not forgotten its initial vocation to highlight the free electrons who imagine the sounds of tomorrow, with an electro tendency, all in a postindustrial setting. which perfectly suits the artists present. Montreux Jazz Festival
Ever more eclectic, the Montreux festival is rolling out an impressive program, in accordance
his habits. Let us quote pell-mell Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, Caroline Polachek, Chilly Gonzales, Chris Isaak, Wet Leg, Idles or even our national Juliette Armanet. (Very) special attraction: Generation Sex, a “supergroup” made up of former members of Generation X and the Sex Pistols. Who said “no future”?

First of all, let’s salute the commitment of this festival to civic awareness: for each ticket sold, 3 € are donated to a program of reforestation of a local forest devastated by fire. Also advocating gender equality, recycling and the enhancement of the Basque territory, the Bilbao BBK Live has more than one trump card up its sleeve. Since its creation in 2006, it has impressed with its programming worthy of the greatest, with a strong weakness for rock and pop. Since then, he has been able to follow the trends of the moment. Thus, its 2023 edition reflects what the music industry has best today, as much in the electric style that it has always defended (Arctic Monkeys, Pavement, Idles, Dry Cleaning, The Murder Capital…) as in electro (The Chemical Brothers, M83, Jamie XX, Röyksopp, The Blaze…). The French from Phoenix will be there, as will the explosive Scottish trio Young Fathers, the Tuareg group Tinariwen, the gifted American Perfume Genius and the new electro fairy Art School Girlfriend. Three unforgettable days in perspective, in the open air, in the largest park in the city.

NOS Alive
Inaugurated in 2007, it takes its name from Pearl Jam’s first single, Alive, on which a deluge of guitars responded to an overpowering tone of voice. After more than a decade of activity, it is clear that this great summer raout remains faithful to its original credo. In addition to this desire to bring together a gargantuan programme, this annual event is distinguished by its location: the Passeio Marítimo de Algés, in the suburbs of Lisbon, a site set up on the waterfront, at the mouth of the Tagus and The Atlantic Ocean. It is in this urban and aquatic setting that heavyweights of the international music scene will follow one another, in particular the telluric desert rockers Queens of the Stone Age, the incredible Lizzo and her rap tinged with soul, the efficient blues-garage duo The Black Keys, the torrid queer rapper Lil Nas X, the flamboyant English quartet Arctic Monkeys or even the new Anglo-Japanese sensation Rina Sawayama and her futuristic electro pop. The American Angel Olsen will be responsible for injecting a little folk delicacy among all these robust explosions.

Founded in 1968, the FEQ has become the largest outdoor musical event on Canadian soil. It takes place today on several sites in the heart of the city of Quebec, in particular in the vast park of the plains of Abraham, the aptly named park of La Francophonie, or the place of the National Assembly, where will be installed various scenes for eleven days. The vitality of the Canadian scene will of course be honoured, in the company of Feist, Andy Shauf, Alvvays, Bibi Club, and even Vanille. But this festival remains constantly open to sounds from elsewhere. The exotic music of Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek, the duo Jupiter & Okwess and the Star Feminine Band will be present, as will a string of shocking European artists (The Smile, Christine and the Queens…). Geographical proximity obliges, a simply stunning American delegation will also be on site, led by rock bulldozers Foo Fighters, Green Day and Weezer, not to mention the unmissable Lana Del Rey, The War on Drugs, Cypress Hill, Sudan Archives and Starcrawler. Roll on July!

smooth movement between scenes. In addition to the representatives of the Flat Country (Deus, Lous and the
Yakuza…), the festivities will notably include the La Femme gang, the electro wizard Aphex Twin and the
the four Phoenixes of Versailles.

Six days of concerts, more than 80 artists, 60 stages, a hundred nationalities, thirty years of existence: this festival, located on an island in the middle of the Danube, displays figures that make you dizzy.
