The automotive market in recent years has been very volatile and some car brands have managed to stand out thanks to electric vehicles.
Antoine Joubert of the Guide de l’auto reveals the most desired dealers and those who are unfortunately losing ground.
Unsurprisingly, Tesla and Toyota stand out.
“Tesla has the wind in its sails with the quantity of cars we deliver. It’s fascinating to see how we’re taking the market by storm,” says the expert.
Toyota once once more manages to stand out due to its reliable models.
GM and Hyundai also offer good products this year.
The same cannot be said for brands like Mazda and Stellantis.
“Mazda is a small manufacturer and we are trying to come up with plug-in hybrids,” says Mr. Joubert.
Japanese cars seem to be struggling to keep up with the 2024 trend.
“Japanese luxury brands are adrift. Acura and Infiniti are going very badly,” he explains.
The increase in car prices means that there are almost no more models under the $20,000 mark.
“There are absolutely no more. All that remains is the Mitsubishi Mirage, which will say goodbye to us in 2024. It has already disappeared from the American market, but remains in Canada this year. However, only a few hundred units will be sold”, underlines the specialist.
Moreover, within two years, the subcompact category risks disappearing with the departure of Mirage, the Rio and the Versa.
