Movies achieved high revenues last night, as the current season is witnessing strong competition between various works, most notably the movie “The Ruby House” by Karim Abdel Aziz, the “Bogeyman” starring Amir Karara, “Taj” by Tamer Hosni, and “Mr. X” by Ahmed Fahmy.
The total movie revenues at the cinema box office yesterday, Saturday, amounted to regarding 4,982,167 pounds, according to film distributor Mahmoud El-Dafrawi.
Ruby house movie
The movie Beit El Rouby managed to top the box office in Egyptian cinemas.
The film achieved revenues of 2,451,812 pounds, to get the first place among the works that are currently shown in cinemas.
The movie “The Ruby’s House” starring Karim Abdel Aziz, Nour the Lebanese, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Tara Imad, Samar Jaber and the two children Moaz Gad and Lucinda, and guests of honor are Mohamed Abdel Rahman Tota, Sarah Abdel Rahman, Sherif Desouky, Hatem Salah, Mahmoud El-Sisi, Mustafa Abu Saree, a story, screenplay, and dialogue by Muhammad Al-Dabbah and Reem Al-Qamash, and directed by Peter Mimi.
The Ruby House movie presents a human comedic idea, while raising an important issue that currently preoccupies the audience, which is the social media’s control over many matters and the influencer’s profession that has spread strongly in recent years, through a couple that social media caused a major crisis in their lives that made them move away from Cairo and live in Taba, and following returning to Cairo to finish some papers, they decide to confront society and overcome its crisis, but social media returns to stand before them.

While the movie “The Boogeyman” won the second place, with revenues amounting to 1,064,938 pounds.
The bogeyman movie starring Amir Karara, Yasmine Sabry and Mohamed Abdel Rahman, directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi, and its events revolve around a thug who repents of crime and is exposed to many comic situations.
Taj movie
While the movie “Taj” starring Tamer Hosni came in third place, with revenues amounting to 801,982 pounds.
The Taj movie belongs to the series of “superheroes” (super heroes) in Egypt and the Arab world. Tamer Hosni embodies two characters of twins named Taj and Haroun, who go through many crises. This film is considered the first appearance of an Arab superhero in Arab cinema, and the film stars Tamer Hosni, Dina El-Sherbiny, singer Sandy, Bayoumi Fouad, and many stars, and directed by Sarah Wafik.
Mr X movie
In the last place came the movie “Mr. X”, which achieved revenues amounting to 663,435 pounds, and it is the work starring Ahmed Fahmy and Hana Al Zahed.
