Top Anime Songs of Reiwa and Heisei Era: Public Survey Results

On October 7, the program “10,000 People Choose! Finally Decided! Reiwa Vs. Heisei Vs. Showa Anime Song Ranking“, where the results of a survey conducted with thousands of people were presented, and through which they were asked about their favorite anime songs from the different eras of Japan.

The Era Reiwa It began in May 2019 with the accession of Emperor Naruhito to the imperial throne of Japan. On the other hand, the Era Heisei It is the period between January 1989 and April 2019, with the rise of Emperor Akihito. Finally, the Era Showa It is the period between December 1926 and January 1989, with the accession of Emperor Hirohito to the throne.

Since the Showa Era comprises the early years of Japanese animation as we know it today, we will not include the results of songs from that period for this article. Regarding the other two eras, the press release included the ten songs selected by the public, which we list below:
