Top 65 Movie Songs: Billboard Review Excludes Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ For ‘Titanic’

Hollywood has often called upon major music stars to perform theme songs for its films. The magazine Billboard has just released its list of the 65 most popular movie songs of all time and includes several major hits.

Let’s emphasize it from the outset: Quebec diva Céline Dion is ranked 20th in this ranking thanks to Because You Loved Melove song written by Diane Warren for the film Intimate and personal (1996), which brought together on screen Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford. In contrast, the theme song from the movie Titanic, My Heart Will Go On, interpreted by Céline Dion, was excluded from the top 65 concocted by the Billboard. However, the song, huge international success, had won the Oscar for best original song in 1997.

This is the title song of the movie Endless Love (An endless love), interpreted by the legendary Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, who sits at the top of the ranking. Launched in 1981, the track spent 27 weeks on the Billboard Most Streamed Songs chart that year, including nine weeks at number 1.

Canadian rocker Bryan Adams finds himself second in the rankings with his ballad Everything I Dowritten for the film Robin Hood, Prince of Thievesreleased in 1991.
