On Saturday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for an “immediate cessation of escalation and a cessation of hostilities” in Ukraine.

European leaders discussed what some have described as the “nuclear option,” which would ban Russia from the SWIFT banking network that connects thousands of banking institutions around the world, after it invaded Ukraine.
