Pulling a recent title to the list, we have Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022), which is a kind of retelling of the franchise’s great success. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Starting the MW series, which is the most famous of the franchise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was an absolute success and remains today as one of the giants of the genre. Released for the seventh generation of consoles, Modern Warfare delivered on many fronts, including gameplay, storyline, characters and more.

If the previous game paved the way, it was the second title that made Modern Warfare the most important series in the franchise and one of the best known in the industry in general.
With the return of heroes loved by players and the presence of the terrible villain Makarov, Modern Warfare 2 delivered an excellent campaign, full of remarkable moments and even with the most controversial mission of the entire saga. Launched in 2009, the title is considered by many players to be the greatest FPS in history.
