Assassin’s Creed has become one of the main franchises in the industry, being the great flagship of Ubisoft. With many titles, the saga developed by the French giant hit the market to become one of the highlights in the stealth genre. Over the years, Assassin’s Creed has changed and gained a new form, starting to have very different characteristics. But following all, following so many games released, what are the 5 best games in the franchise? That’s what we show you in today’s post!
Assassin’s Creed Rogue
Released in November 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Assassin’s Creed Rogue was the last title in the franchise in the seventh generation of consoles. Taking advantage of Black Flag’s mechanics, the game was very similar to its predecessor, but brought a different vision to the plot.
In Rogue, we follow the journey of Shay, a former assassin who ends up becoming a templar following not agreeing with the mistakes made by his former order. Boasting a great storyline, the game delivers one of the most interesting stories in the franchise, while offering the fun gameplay of AC 4, including great naval battles. An excellent game to appear in fifth place on our list.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations
Released in 2011, Assassin’s Creed Revelations came to close the legendary saga of Ezio Auditore, one of the greatest protagonists of the Ubisoft franchise. With Ezio older and more mature, we follow the master assassin on a journey to discover answers regarding the past.
With the game released at a time when plot threads were still worthy of applause, Revelations delivers an emotional and memorable journey, mixing the journeys of Ezio and Altair. An excellent ending to the Italian assassin trilogy.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, released in 2013, can be considered the best sandbox ever offered by the franchise. While the previous games were open world titles, it was only in Black Flag that we got a world that was really active and alive. In addition, one of the great highlights of the game is also the naval gameplay, with exploration and battles in the middle of the sea being extremely fun.
Starring the pirate Edward Kenway, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag mixed an interesting plot with good gameplay, in addition to being a significant step in the evolution of the franchise to become something more robust. Black Flag also features some of the saga’s most emotional moments.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
Arriving for the seventh generation of consoles, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood was the second game in the franchise starring Ezio Auditore. Expanding on what had been seen in the previous title, the game delivered a larger world and more gameplay possibilities, although it has a structure very similar to its predecessor.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood was also important to the saga for being the first game with an online multiplayer mode. The online mode featured competitive matches in different modalities. Multiplayer continued to appear in the franchise until Assassin’s Creed Black.
Assassin’s Creed 2
First place might not be any other. Assassin’s Creed 2 is, to this day, Ubisoft’s masterpiece. Released in 2009, the game introduced the world to the iconic assassin Ezio Auditore. With an extremely charismatic and captivating protagonist, Assassin’s Creed 2 has one of the most robust and well-written plots of the entire franchise, with many outstanding moments.
Being a round game, it seems like everything works perfectly in Assassin’s Cree 2. Great mechanics make for excellent gameplay, which was even more impressive in the year of its release.
