Vingegaard will relax “when we get to Paris”

???? Jonas Vingegaard, yellow jersey at the finish: “It was a day not too stressful but fast. I wouldn’t say it was an easy day, but the sprinter teams tried to go for the win. Bad luck for them, they mightn’t get the breakaway. I manage to stay focused and I will relax when we get to Paris, not before. Days like these are the days when you can really lose the lap, you really have to stay focused.”

Pogacar: “I was quite moved”

???? Tadej Pogacar, 2nd overall, on arrival: “I slept pretty well, the day went well. I got over it, it was difficult at the beginning. I was quite emotional but everyone in the peloton cheered me up. It was good to be in the peloton for a calmer day. I can’t believe all the support I received, already yesterday during the whole climb. along the way too, I’m grateful to have all these fans supporting me.”

Asgreen : “J’y eat cru”

???? Kasper Asgreen : “Obviously the situation wasn’t ideal, I would have liked to leave with more riders but it’s the last week of the Tour, it’s not the first time that a small group has managed to beat the sprinter teams. I believed in it! It was a combination of factors that made us win with also good legs, all the same, for the four breakaways. The Tour was difficult for us, Fabio (Jakobsen) had to retire following his crash. has been beaten in the last few weeks, we were still not far away but we were never able to grab a victory. I had checked off today and tomorrow. I was very motivated to give something back to the whole team, my teammates, all the people who help us. I wanted to go for the stage victory.
