After an article on the rarest mounts in WoW but which you can still acquire, I suggest you discover the Top 10 World of Warcraft mounts that you will never be able to obtain even if you pray very hard. In other words, if you haven’t collected them at a specific time, it’s dead because these mounts are not accessible through the Black Market. All we can hope for is their eventual return in a feature like the Counter.

Proto-wyrm couvegrive : This mount was offered at the launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic. All you had to do was create a Death Knight and complete the starting experience, which took regarding 2.5 hours.

Warlord Death on Wheels : In 2014, Blizzard organized a competition called Azeroth Choppers. At the end of it, the Horde bike had been selected and players might obtain it simply by logging into the game before September 30. By popular demand, the Alliance mount was also added and players can still purchase it for 100,000 gold in Stormwind. On the other hand, the Horde mount never reappeared…

Primal Fire Saber : This is a reward for players who played Heroes of the Storm between February 14 and March 14, 2017. But be careful, you had to play 15 games with friends and using characters from the World franchise of Warcraft. And yes, it was more difficult than watching 4 hours of stream with the sound muted without getting in front of the screen ^^

Tremblote : For this mount, you had to complete the Shadowlands Raid Fatalities achievement. All you had to do was play all the bosses in the expansion’s three raids in Normal AND Fate mode.

Amani War Bear : To collect this mount, you had to complete the Zul’Aman Timed Challenge. The objective was to defeat the first 4 bosses in less than 45 minutes (with tips to know). The mount disappeared with WotLK since it would have become too easy to validate.

A step ahead : These achievements require clearing the last raid of an expansion before the release of the next one. They are often reserved for the highest difficulties and several mounts have existed in the history of WoW, starting with the Kor’kron Warwolf from Warlords of Draenor where you had to kill Garrosh. More recently, Fyrakka drops a manuscript allowing your drake to resemble the Incarnation.

The Ram of Brewfest 2007 : This mount required you to complete an activity during the event, which rewarded you with a quest that allowed you to acquire the ram. In 2008, the Brewfest was revised and the mount disappeared.

Sponsorship Mounts : Among the rewards offered to players who manage to get their friends to subscribe to WoW for a long time, there are sometimes mounts. In the history of the MMORPG, this was the case of the X-53 Touring Rocket (2 places), the Heart of the Nightwing and the Emerald Hippogriff. Note that Blizzard recently offered the Swift Zhevra and the Ashmane Steed in the Trading Post, so all is not lost for the others!

Tyrannical Gladiator’s Mounts : These are mounts exclusive to 3v3 PvP and which require playing a lot, but also being a good player. The mounts change regularly and we find, for example, the Tyrannical Gladiator’s Cloud Serpent.

Black Qiraji Assault Tank : Extremely rare, this is the only legendary mount in WoW. To obtain it, you had to participate in Ahn’Qiraj’s war effort on Vanilla, but also validate a sequence of 32 quests allowing you to acquire the Scepter of the Changing Sands. Only a few players might achieve this because they had to be validated quickly. Collecting shell fragments was extremely time-consuming and also required raiding. Once you had the scepter, you might strike the gong in Silithus and obtain the mount. Note, for the record, that Blizzard offered players the Black Qiraji War Tank, a more modern version of the Legion-era mount. Players can since then switch from one to another as they wish, the new version not replacing the old one.
