Top 10 Cities in the United States Offering High-Wage Jobs and Affordable Cost of Living

Many of those who live in the United States face the formidable challenge of achieving an affordable cost of living on a daily basis.

Translated into other words, this would be finding a cheap place with a salary that pays enough.

In this sense, and considering the importance of the subject in question, Go Banking Rates recently carried out a research project. The study focuses on choosing a city in the United States where jobs with high wages and low costs of living are offered.

To do this, Go Banking Rates had to analyze 100 cities in the country with a median family income above the national average. This, according to the 2020 American Community Survey from the Census Bureau.

It is valid to point out that inflation in the United States has reached levels never seen before. But, although it has decreased somewhat this year, it is still not reaching the levels that the Federal Reserve (Fed) expects.

What are the cities in the United States that have jobs with high wages and low costs of living?

First up is Aurora, Illinois; where the average family income is $97,118.00 USD and the total needs are $29,946.70 USD.

It is followed by Broken Arrow; Here the average family income is $104,389.00 USD and the total needs range between $30,048.38 USD.

On the other hand, in Rochester, Minnesota, the median family income is $98,609.00 USD and the total needs are $31,918.25 USD.

With a median household income of $98,462.00 USD and total needs ranging from $33,496.87 USD, Charlotte, North Carolina is located.

In fifth place is Midland, Texas; with an average family income of $115,667.00 USD and total needs of $34,077.02 USD.

Olathe, Kansas follows; where the average family income reaches $110757.00 USD and their total needs, $35180.49 USD.

Rounding out positions seven to 10, with the costs of median family income and total needs, are the following cities.

Raleigh, North Carolina with $98016.00 USD and $35301.79 USD respectively. Minneapolis, Minnesota; with $93145.00 USD and $35502.35 USD.

Finally there are Virginia Beach, in Virginia with $101,686.00 USD and $36,254.73 USD; and Pearland, Texas with $123,869.00 USD and $36,294.56 USD respectively.
