After weeks of rampant speculation that could rival a soap opera in complexity, Tool has officially confirmed their return to Mexico! However, the presentation of Tool in Mexico It has nothing to do with the festival, but with an (almost) solo concert with The Cult as the guest band. This will be held at the Esplanade of the Azteca Stadium, where Dream Theater will also be presented in December 2024.
It was 10 years ago (2014) that Tool performed at Cumbre Tajín, and we will finally have the iconic Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Adam Jones (guitar), Danny Carey (drums) and Justin Chancellor (bass) back, with music from incredible materials like Undertow, Ænima, Lateralus, 10,000 Days and the most recent Fear Inoculum (2019), plus the visuals that will surely blow our minds.
The Tool’s presentation in Mexico will be with The Cult, group led by Ian Astbury (vocals) and Billy Duffy (guitar), who will prepare the ground before we hear “Sober” and “7embest” live.
