At the microphone of actress Drew Barrymore, the English actor made an announcement that was surprising to say the least. Romantic comedies will no longer be part of his filming. But the 63-year-old actor is not unhappy regarding it. “I became too old, ugly and fat for romantic comedies, so I was offered more interesting roles”, he explains in the podcast of “The Drew Barrymore Show”.
This turning of the page allows the actor to explore other roles for which we did not necessarily think of him a few years ago. Hugh Grant found himself for example in “Paddington 2” where he played the villain of the film. He will also be in the prequel to Charlie and the chocolate factory“Wonka”.
