Meet the two newest At-Large Directors of the Little League International Board of Directors:
Tony Reagins – MLB Chief Baseball Development Officer
As the Chief Baseball Development Officer for Major League Baseball, Tony Reagins is entrusted with overseeing the expansion and growth of youth and amateur baseball on both domestic and international fronts. Since his appointment in March 2015, he has not only been responsible for enhancing youth engagement but also for the operations of the Arizona Fall League, a venue highly regarded for player development.
Under his leadership, his department has prioritized the augmentation of participation levels in baseball and softball, focusing on both grassroots initiatives and development programs. A significant aspect of this is the “PLAY BALL” initiative, launched in June 2015, now featuring robust partnerships with organizations such as USA Baseball, USA Softball, and Little League itself.
Moreover, Mr. Reagins has significantly advanced the “Breakthrough Series” amateur development camps, which serve boys’ baseball, girls’ baseball, and softball. He has also spearheaded additional vital programs, including Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), MLB Youth Academies, the Hank Aaron Invitational, Elite Development Invitational, DREAM Series, and the Andre Dawson Classic, thus influencing the next generation of players.
Before his tenure in the Commissioner’s Office, Mr. Reagins earned notable experience with the Los Angeles Angels in various key roles. His journey began with a dual internship across marketing and advertising sales, eventually pivoting to baseball operations. He made history in 2007 by becoming the fifth Black General Manager in Major League Baseball. A proud native of Indio, California, he graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 1991.
Kristian Palvia – Little League Sweden District 1 Administrator
Beyond his extensive experience with Little League, where he has been instrumental in the program’s growth across the Europe and Africa Region, Kristian Palvia’s involvement in youth baseball dates back to 1989 when he helped establish the baseball program in Skovde. His leadership roles include serving as treasurer for the Skovde Saints baseball and softball program, and coaching Tee Ball teams, laying a solid foundation for young athletes.
Additionally, Mr. Palvia’s organizational acumen was evident when he served as the club administrator for IFK Skovde, an elite handball organization, where he managed all club aspects, including the orchestration of a substantial youth handball tournament featuring over 300 teams and 3,000 participants. His diverse involvement showcases a commitment to fostering sports at grassroots levels.

Chris Drury – At Large Member Since 2011

Transitioning from Little League success, Mr. Drury thrived in hockey, earning accolades such as Hockey East Player of the Year, the prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award, and being a two-time recipient of USA Hockey’s College Player of the Year Award. His collegiate achievements include capturing a National Championship with his Boston University team and proudly representing the U.S. as a two-time Olympic silver medalist.
Launching his professional hockey career with the Colorado Avalanche in 1998-99, Mr. Drury earned the Calder Memorial Trophy for being the top rookie that season and played a crucial role in the 2000-01 Avalanche Stanley Cup-winning team. In addition to his hockey accolades, he was honored with enshrinement in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015 and received recognition into Little League’s Hall of Excellence in 2009, further establishing himself as a role model who embodies the core values of sportsmanship instilled through Little League.
“Chris is an inspirational role model to children globally and has been a prominent representative of the extraordinary journey from Little League to professional sports,” stated Mr. Keener. “His service over the past 13 years has been invaluable, and I personally consider it a privilege to call him a friend throughout my tenure as President and CEO.”
