Questions continue to be asked regarding whether the top PGA Tour players will follow in the footsteps of players who have moved to LIV Golf, but those rumors have been quashed with Tony Finau’s announcement via: His Instagram said he was getting ready to compete on the PGA Tour in 2024, along with the hashtag #imnotleaving confirmed he will remain a PGA Tour member next year.
And this is the full message he posted on IG.
“The 2023 season has been recorded! It’s been a great season. Especially the victory at the Mexico Open was the 6th championship on the PGA Tour, and it was also the 7th Tour Championship in a row! From the start to the end of the year I was delighted to play the game I love and to have the opportunity to win at this top level of competition. I am very excited for 2024 and look forward to playing in my 10th season on the PGA Tour! And will return to defend the championship in both Mexico and Houston! Thank you to all my partners who continue to support me. Thank you to the fans for their love for the Finau family. See you in Maui! #i’mnotleaving”
Also speaking at the Grant Thornton Invitational in Naples, Florida, he was asked regarding his move to LIV, saying, “I don’t have anything to say right now. I’ve never heard anything. I’m not thinking regarding anything other than playing golf right now.”
