Tel Aviv: Israeli media Channel 12 reported that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair had a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the acceptance of Palestinian refugees by other countries.

Channel 12 reported that Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz met with the former British prime minister to explore the possibility of Tony Blair taking charge of where Palestinian refugees should be resettled.

Meanwhile, journalist Barak Ravid told X that Blair’s office dismissed the reports.

‘Mr Blair has nothing to do with the evacuation of Gazans. There have been no such discussions. And there won’t be,” Ravid said, quoting a spokesman for Blair’s office.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that the Palestinians would be completely evacuated and Israelis would live in the Gaza Strip instead.

1.8 million Palestinians have been displaced from Gaza since the Israeli offensive began in October. The Wall Street Journal reported the other day that 70 percent of the houses and half of the buildings in Gaza were destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.

So far, 28,822 people have been killed or missing in Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry says the death toll might be much higher than reported due to the large number of people trapped in the rubble.
