On the 30th (Sunday), the whole country will be mostly cloudy and it will rain a lot while the scorching heat continues across the country, with the midday temperature exceeding 35 degrees in most of Seoul on the 30th.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, from the 31st to the 1st of August, it is predicted that 30 to 80 mm of rain will fall in the central region (excluding Yeongdong, Gangwon) and Gyeongbuk, and 10 to 60 mm in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon. In the southern region, it is predicted that by the 1st, it will rain 50~100mm in Jeju Island (over 300mm in mountains), 50~100mm in Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do (250mm or more near the southern coast and Mt. Jirisan), and 30~80mm in Jeollabuk-do.

In areas with rain, there may be thunder and lightning along with gusts of wind. Very strong and heavy rain is expected in Jeju Island, the southern coast, and the vicinity of Mt. Jirisan. The Meteorological Administration urged special precautions to avoid rain damage.

The lowest temperature in the morning was predicted to be 23-26 degrees, and the highest temperature during the day was predicted to be 26-30 degrees.

The fine dust concentration will show a ‘good’ level in all areas.
