It will begin to be affected by the peripheral circulation of the typhoon.
Wu Shengyu wrote on Facebook today (30) that Typhoon Xuan Lannuo is currently located in the southern sea of Japan and is moving rapidly westward. When it approaches the waters near Ryukyu tomorrow, it will deflect to the southwest to follow the “falling ball route”. Four came to the sea to the south of Naha and east of Taiwan, and then started to go north gradually following turning around. It may go north through the sea off the northeastern part of Taiwan between Friday and Saturday, and enter the East China Sea on Sunday and continue to stay away. It is expected that the weather in Taiwan will begin to be affected by the outer circulation of the typhoon from Wednesday evening to early Thursday morning.
According to the above-mentioned Xuan Lannuo path, Wu Shengyu pointed out that it may be on the verge of issuing an offshore typhoon warning. It remains to be seen whether an alert will be issued, and the chance of a land typhoon warning is low. He also reminded that although the possibility of the typhoon directly hitting Taiwan is not high, the outer circulation of the typhoon will affect the weather in Taiwan from Wednesday night until Saturday. Especially affected by the northerly to northeasterly winds, the central, northern, and northeastern regions of the windward face have a higher chance of rainfall. Especially in the mountainous areas, there may be a large amount of accumulated rainfall, and the coastal winds will also increase significantly. As the center of the typhoon gets closer to the northeastern sea, the impact will be greater, and the rain will not begin to ease until following Sunday’s day at the earliest.
