Tomer Sisley Prioritizes Family Over Fame: The Actor Reflects on Career Choices Ahead of Largo Winch’s Latest Adventure

On the occasion of the release of the third installment of the comic book hero’s adventures, Largo Winch: The Price of Money, this Wednesday, July 31, Tomer Sisley revealed that he has already turned down roles to stay with his children.

In 2008, Tomer Sisley portrayed the comic book hero Largo Winch in the eponymous film, becoming the first of a saga. Three years later, at the age of 37, the actor and comedian filmed the second installment, titled Largo Winch 2. It then took thirteen years before Sandra de Matteis’s (Sandra Zeitoun) husband resumed the famous hero’s costume. After a tumultuous shoot and a successful premiere, Largo Winch: The Price of Money will hit theaters this Wednesday, July 31. The actor, who had a unique childhood, agreed to answer questions from our colleagues at Télé Star on Monday, July 29. This was an opportunity for his fans to learn that they could have seen him in one of the most popular series in history.

I have turned down some big roles“: Tomer Sisley reveals why he has never settled in the United States

While he had already stated that he refused to immediately shoot a third Largo Winch after the release of the second one for fear of being confined to that role for the rest of his career, Tomer Sisley told our colleagues at Télé Star that he has already given up roles for his family. “As often as possible“, indeed replied the actor when asked if, like the hero he portrays, he tended to put his family before his career. “I declined to move across the Atlantic despite having great opportunities; I turned down some big roles, like in Game of Thrones, to stay with my children. Because I feel that the years go by too quickly and I already have regrets. There are days when I feel down and even regret being an actor! I curse this job that takes me away from my family. But in the end, I tell myself that I would have been a worse father if I had given up what makes me happy“, elaborates the father of Liv Shayla, aged 15, and Levin, aged 13.

I’m a bit in competition with Tom Cruise“: Tomer Sisley also does his own stunts

Now also the stepfather of Dino Zeitoun, the son of his partner and producer Valéry Zeitoun, Tomer Sisley also spoke about his age. He will be 50 on August 14, 2024, and he is clearly not in a hurry to get there. “The fifties worry me and it really annoys me! I didn’t think this would happen to me. So, I put even more effort into practicing extreme sports and doing my stunts. Even if it takes a toll on me! Calming down about that for me means the beginning of the end! I have this feeling of urgency, this need to seize life with both hands. So, if I’m offered to play Largo in ten years, I will still do my stunts. I’m a bit in competition with Tom Cruise. He had better watch out“, concludes the actor with a laugh.
