Capt. Łukasz Górczyński from the State Fire Service in Łódź told Polsat News that firefighters had many reports related to weather phenomena from all over the province. – The most serious situation was in the Tomaszów district, where we had 70 entries – said the fireman.

Roof coverings on three single-family residential buildings were damaged in Rudniki and Rybna (Częstochowa district) and in Boguchwałowice (Będzin district). Two roofs on farm buildings were damaged. in Widzów and Widzówek (Częstochowa district). Fortunately, no one was injured in the storms.

Institute of Meteorology and Water Management released on Friday warnings of I, II and III degrees for thunderstorms and heavy rain with thunderstorms for southern and north-western Poland. In the south-west of the country, level III warnings are in effect and the most dangerous storms are expected there.

Warnings of I, II and III degree of storms are in force in the southern part of Poland. The most serious level III warnings apply to most Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Lubusz Voivodeship and the southwestern part of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship. Level II warnings were issued for the southern part of the Wielkopolska Province, most of the Łódź and Świętokrzyskie Provinces, the entire Opole, Silesian and Lesser Poland Provinces and the southern part of the Podkarpackie Province.

Level I warnings apply to the northern counties of the Podkarpackie province, the eastern part of the Świętokrzyskie province, the south-eastern counties of the Mazovian province and most of the Lublin province.

In most counties for which second and third degree storm warnings were issued, they are still in force from 12 noon on Friday to 2 am on Saturday.

In the southwestern part of Poland, where level III warnings are in force, storms are forecast, accompanied by heavy rains from 35 mm to 50 mm, locally up to regarding 80 mm, and wind gusts up to 90 km/h, locally up to 120 km/h. In some places, large hail will be possible.

In turn, for the counties where the second degree storm warnings are in force, storms are expected, which in some places will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall from 35 mm to 50 mm, and wind gusts up to 90 km/h, locally 115 km/h. Hail is also possible in places.
