Tom Wilson train kills Boston

Capitals forward Tom Wilson hard knocked down Anton Blidh of the Bruins with an upper-body shoulder strike late in the first period of Thursday’s game between the two clubs.

The robust number 43, renowned for his sometimes questionable shots, spun at high speed on the Swede, who had just gotten rid of the puck before impact.

Shaken, Blidh remained lying on the ice for a few moments before being escorted off the ice with the help of a trainer. He did not return to the match afterwards.

Wilson was not punished for the hit.
