THE SUSPECT of sugar import corruption at the Ministry of Trade in 2015-2026, Thomas Lembong or Tom Lembong, was again questioned by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung RI) at the Attorney General’s Office Building, Jakarta, Friday (1/10).

“I’ve checked, today (Tom Lembong) was questioned again,” said Head of the Prosecutor’s Office’s Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum), Agung Harli Siregar.
Regarding the substance of the examination which will be used as material for the investigator’s examination, Harli has not been able to reveal it further.

“That’s an investigator who understands (the examination material),” he said.

Meanwhile, Tom Lembong arrived at the Attorney General’s Building using the Attorney General’s detention car. Tom was seen wearing a dark green short-sleeved t-shirt and a pink vest marked as a prisoner of the Attorney General’s Office.
Previously, the Attorney General had named two suspects in the sugar importation case, namely Tom Lembong as Minister of Trade for the 2015-2016 period and CS as Director of Business Development at PT Perusahaan Dagang Indonesia (PPI). (D-3)
