The Disney Plus streaming platform officially launched the first preview of what will be the live action of the children’s classic Pinocchio.

This May 31 the streaming platform Disney+ presented the first live-action trailer of the children’s classic Pinocchio. In the preview you can see the American actor Tom Hanks as Gepetto, father of the puppet.

The film is directed by legendary film director and screenwriter Robert Zemeckis. Added to the first glimpse of what the company’s new production will be, it was confirmed that the release date will be the next September 8th exclusively on the streaming service.

In this preview you can see how the carpenter and creator of Pinocchio, played by Hanks, asks a star for the long-awaited wish of giving life to his creation. In addition, in the teaser, the actress might be seen for the first time Cynthia Erivo in his role as the blue fairy and Jiminy Cricket, who will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Another well-known actor who will be part of this production will be Luke Evans, who will give life to the villain of the children’s classic, the coachman. It is not the first time that Evans has participated in a Disney production, he previously played Gastón in the remake of Beauty and the Beast.
