Tom Cruise: He was sued by a former “madam” – Why did he do it just before he died?

In Touch received the lawsuit filed by Jody “Babydol” Gibson on September 7, 2021, in Los Angeles Superior Court.

In the complaint, first reported by The Underground Bunker, Jody said she is “the successor in interest and executor of the estate of Tobe Gibson.”

Tobe Gibson was Jody’s mother, who was reportedly a well-known talent agent for child stars at the time. Jodi claimed that Tom discovered Tom, 62, while taking part in a high school play.

He said the actor signed a written representation agreement with Tobe in 1978-1979. Jodi said her mum took Tom to his first big roles and ‘big break’ in the 1981 film Taps.

In the lawsuit, Jodi said Tom began an affair with one of her mom’s relatives in 1980-1981.

He said, “Through his relationship [Ο Τομ] left his agency relationship with Tobe Gibson and signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA).”

Jodi filed the lawsuit after seeing Tom credit CAA for his success in a 2016 book about the Hollywood agency. Jodi said “a real controversy and fraud arose as a result of a cover-up that followed to hide the wrongdoing [του Τομ]».

He said Tom gave a completely fraudulent interview, falsely attributing all of Tobe’s work to CAA, “claiming CAA Paula Wagner and CAA discovered Tom, erasing Tobe Gibson’s name and hard work from existence.” Jodi accused Tom of “wrongfully betraying and abandoning” her mother.

The lawsuit states that had it not been for “Tobeh Gibson’s discovery of Tom Cruise and Tom’s first role in Taps, [Ο Τομ] he wouldn’t have had the career and wealth he had. There is an argument to be made that Tobe Gibson’s professional worth and net worth would be 100 times greater if this 40+ year fraudulent lie and cover-up that is still active today had not been exposed.”

Jodi said Tom’s denial of her mother’s involvement in his career made her look like a liar. He said Tom’s actions were “deliberate, willful and wanton and warrants an award of punitive damages sufficient to punish and deter.”

The former lady attached a 1977 newspaper article referring to Tom and her mother.
