Madonna announced today that next Monday she will release a duet with Dominican rapper Tokischa called “Hung Up”, that she promoted on her Instagram account with fragments of a video clip and caricatures of both in a provocative pose.
The queen of pop, 64, wrote in a post “we are bad girls” and “our song comes out on September 19” along with a series of short videos that reveal that the song will have the Latin rhythm of the “dembow” and suggestive lyrics, such as “I want a new ass.”
In one of the illustrations both appear giving a kiss on the mouthan affectionate gesture they’ve shared in public before: at Pride last June, and most recently at a show during New York Fashion Week.
Tokischa, 26, commented this Tuesday on the “Despierta América” program that he has a “friendship” and a professional relationship with Madonna, but also stated that beyond that they “like” each other: “It’s romantic, it’s nice, we’re having a sweet time. I love it,” he said.
The city’s local media reported last week that the Police went to put order at the recording site of the “Hung Up” video clip, in the Washington Heights neighborhood, north of Manhattan, following receiving complaints from neighbors regarding the high music volume.
According to Billboard magazine, this collaboration is a remix of the dance hit of the same name that Madonna released in 2005 and its release is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the album “Erotica”, of which a limited edition vinyl will soon be released.
The vinyl, which contains the song “Erotica” and is available for pre-purchase, stands out for having an image on the cover in which Madonna appears sucking her toe, which was censored at the time as it was considered too high tone for stores and the public.
