Warmth for early flowering

In March, the temperature rises nationwide. In particular, parts of the Kanto, Tohoku, and Hokuriku regions experienced markedly high temperatures in early March, with daily average temperatures exceeding +4°C. Temperatures are expected to continue to be higher than normal in the future, and both flowering and full bloom are expected to be earlier than normal in many places.

Somei-Yoshino cherry trees in the Tohoku region are expected to bloom on March 22nd in Onahama City, Fukushima Prefecture as early as March 29th, and are expected to reach full bloom on March 29th.
Similarly, Sendai (March 28) and Aomori (April 13) are likely to line up on the earliest dates since the statistics began.

Cherry blossom spots such as Miharu Takizakura in Miharu Town, Fukushima Prefecture (March 30) and Hirosaki Park in Aomori Prefecture (April 13) are also expected to set a tie record.

Many people may be going to cherry blossom viewing for the first time in a long time this year, but it would be a good idea to plan your schedule early.
