CCTV news: The Beijing Winter Paralympics will open on March 4. At present, the shaping work of the Yunding Ski Park track in the Zhangjiakou competition area has been basically completed.
During the Winter Paralympic Games, Genting Ski Park retained the original obstacle chase track, and adjusted the starting point, length and drop of the track to suit the Winter Paralympic Games. At the same time, a new 550-meter-long slope slalom track was created to hold the Paralympic snowboard competition. The two tracks produced eight gold medals.
According to the usual experience, the highest temperature in the Zhangjiakou competition area in March will rise to above zero degrees Celsius, which may cause the snow to melt. Therefore, since November last year, Genting Ski Park has reserved 80,000 square meters of snow when making snow.
Wang Shitong, deputy manager of mountain operations for Zhangjiakou Yunding Ski Park venues: We have to ensure the event and overcome bad weather. We have a plan, so we need to store snow. We store more than 80,000 square meters of snow. Why is shaping so fast? It just doesn’t make new snow.
It is understood that Genting Ski Park will usher in the official training of the obstacle chase project on March 3.
