Together for Change: A meeting to oppose Mauricio Macri | Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and Martín Lousteau shared a locro in Parque Norte

While Mauricio Macri has been demanding that the PRO return to its founding ideas and distance itself from the UCR, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta chose to appear with the radicals of Evolución, his Buenos Aires allies. “Together we are going to win the election of the 23rd, the national election,” hoped the head of government of CABA, sharing a locro for May 25 with Senator Martín Lousteau. “We have a very big challenge, to continue with the transformation of the City, but also to bring that transforming spirit to Argentina,” insisted the Buenos Aires president.

In Parque Norte, the host Lousteau, who seeks to be the next head of government of CABA, and Rodríguez Larreta, who aspires to win the national nomination of Together for Change next year, were placed on stage. “To win, we first have to consolidate unity, in diversity, but the unity of Together for Change throughout the country. We have it very consolidated in the City, and that must be consolidated throughout the country,” Larreta stressed. He tacitly acknowledged the internal dispute that has him as a protagonist: “We have PASO, the people will elect the best candidates. The important thing is that we arrive together.”

“The second thing is that we maintain our spirit of continuing to expand. It is necessary not only to win the election, but also to later transform Argentina,” said the head of the Buenos Aires government and recalled the additions of Ricardo López Murphy, Martín Tetaz, Margarita Stolbizer and Facundo Manes, among others. The one who does not enter his list is the “libertarian” Javier Milei.

The framework of the meeting was a locro that brought together more than 5,000 people in Parque Norte, where 2,000 kilos of locro and 8,000 empanadas were cooked. There, Senator Lousteau expressed that “the best policy is for new people to come, as we are doing in Evolución”, and maintained: “Improving the parties is doing better politics and I am convinced that Horacio makes a better PRO and that Evolución is better politics. for the UCR and for Together for Change, if we do this work we will have better things to offer society”.

“The best policy is to face the fear of competing and that there be STEP everywhere, it is not to be afraid to defend our convictions to transform Argentina,” said Lousteau, with a message addressed to his rivals within radicalism.

Also at lunch were the deputy Facundo Manes, all the national deputies from Evolución Radical, the one from Formosa, Fernando Carvajal; Martiniano Molina, Fabian Perechodnik; the Buenos Aires ministers María Migliore and José Luis Giusti and the Secretary of the Environment of CABA, Inés Gorbea. In addition to Buenos Aires legislators and provincial deputies.

Before the speeches by Larreta and Lousteau, videos were shown sent by Graciela Fernández Meijide, the governor of Corrientes, Gustavo Valdez, and deputy Diego Santilli. The act began with the words of the president of the Radical Youth, Agustín Rombolá, the vice president of the Buenos Aires UCR, Martín Ocampo, and the president of the radicalism of the City, Mariela Coletta.
