Today’s Weather Forecast: Temperature Drop, Rain, and Wind Activity Across Egypt

The Meteorological Authority expects today, Tuesday, to witness a slight drop in temperatures in most parts and rain of varying intensity in areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo.

Winds are also active in some areas, which increases the feeling of cold weather and leads to disruption of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean. Cold weather prevails during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, warm in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt, and very cold at night and in the early morning in most areas. Frost also forms on crops in central Sinai, northern Upper Egypt, and New Valley Governorate.

Today, moderate to heavy rain and sometimes thunderstorms are expected, which may be accompanied by hailstones in areas of the northwestern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, and moderate rains in areas of the northeastern coasts will be light to moderate with an incidence of approximately 40% in areas of southern Lower Egypt. It may spread mildly, with an incidence of approximately 30%, to areas of Greater Cairo at intermittent intervals.

Today, wind activity is expected in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and South Sinai at intermittent intervals, and disturbance of maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, wind speed (60:50 km/hour) and wave height of (4:2.5 metres).

As for the temperatures today, Tuesday: Great Cairo is 16 degrees, and the Minor is 10, and Alexandria is 15, and the Minor is 11, and Matrouh is 14 degrees, and the Minor is 11, and Great Sohag is 17 degrees, and the Minor is 06, and Great Qena is 18 degrees, and the Minor is 07, and Great Aswan is 20 degrees, and the Minor is 08.
