The General Authority of Meteorology announced the weather phenomena expected to occur today, Saturday, as cold weather will prevail during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt.
She stated that the weather will be warm in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt and very cold at night and early in the morning in most parts, in addition to the formation of frost on crops in Central Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and New Valley Governorate.
Moderate to heavy rain, with thunderstorms at times, was expected to fall in Matrouh Governorate, extending in the evening to Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta, and Port Said.
She pointed out that the winds may be active in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt, stirring up sand and dust on exposed areas at intermittent intervals, which increases the feeling of cold weather.
