Alexandrian director Ahmed Al-Samman announced the screening of his documentary film “Mesh Aref” today, Friday, on the open theater at the Opera House, as part of the performances of the Sixth Awladna Forum for People of Determination, “We are all human.”
The director of the film, Ahmed Al-Samman, told the Middle East News Agency, that the movie “Mish Aref” will be shown first through the “Our Children” forum, explaining that the film is a self-experience, as the story begins at the beginning of 2017. Because he wants to be a filmmaker, but they look at him differently, and he had no choice but to make a movie regarding those who inspired him to be a great human being like them.
Al-Samman stressed that this film will be one of the most important experiences for him, especially as it documents the experiences of three important personalities who are considered a source of inspiration for him in their challenge to disability, until they became influential stars in society, namely the late musician Ammar Al-Sharei, the composer Sayed Makkawi, and the writer Taha Hussein, He explained that he held special video interviews with Ambassador Inas Makkawi and Murad Ammar Al-Sharei, the two sons of the late, to find out their starting point and how they challenged their disabilities.
It is noteworthy that Ahmed El-Samman was born in Alexandria and challenged his disability with his artistic talent. He is an actor, writer and director who discovered his passion for cinema following he watched the movie “I Love Sima,” so he began researching the world of cinema and filmmaking, and began his journey with art at the end of 2015, and joined Porsche in the field of cinema then He directed his own short films, his first film was “Dancing on Our Bodies” in 2016, and it was shown in two festivals in Egypt, then he directed his second film, “Location” in 2017, and his third film, “Criminal Sima” in 2019.
