Today is October 1 – World Vegetarian Day. This day is observed to mark the importance of vegetarianism. The connection between health and vegetables is so great. Lifestyle diseases can be controlled by including vegetarian food in the diet. In 1977, the North American Vegetarian Society started celebrating October 1st as World Vegetarian Day to bring the importance of vegetarianism to everyone.
