Today, Sunday, the Mansoura Criminal Court will consider the first session of the trial of “Mohamed A”, a student in the third year of the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, for accusing him of killing his fellow student. Naira Ashraf Deliberately premeditated in front of Mansoura University.

It is scheduled that the first session of the trial of the accused will witness that the security services will bring the accused out of his custody and deposit him in the dock, then the session will be considered by the representative of the Public Prosecution reading the order to refer the accused, asking the head of the court to the accused regarding the charges once morest him, then dissolving the evidence contained in the case file, then pleading The defense of the victim, the representative of the Public Prosecution and the defense of the accused.

Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy, the Public Prosecutor, had ordered the referral of the accused, Mohamed Adel, to the Criminal Court; To punish him for what he was accused of of deliberately and premeditatedly killing the victim student, Naira, where he made the intention and resolved to kill her, and followed her until he won her in front of Mansoura University, and stunned her with a knife that stabbed her several times, and slaughtered her with the intention of taking her soul.

The referral decision came 48 hours following the accident, and coordination was also made with the relevant Court of Appeal, and the first court session was set for Sunday, June 26.

The text of the referral order in Case No. 1409 of 2022 Misdemeanors of the First of Mansoura included: “Because on 20/6/2022 in the district of the first department of Mansoura – Dakahlia Governorate, the victim, Naira Ashraf Abdel Qader – was deliberately killed with premeditation that Beit intended and resolved to kill her in retaliation. Including her refusal to associate with him and the failure of his multiple attempts to compel her to do so, as he set a plan to kill her, in which he set the time for her performance of the exams at the end of the academic year at Mansoura University as a date for committing his crime for the certainty of her presence there. She was stabbed behind her with several stab wounds, and she fell to the ground following her, so he continued to attack her with stabs and slit her neck, intending to take her soul during the attempts of some to defend her and threaten them, causing the injuries described in the anatomical report, which claimed her life.

The referral order also included the conviction of the accused of possessing a white weapon “knife” without legal justification, to have committed the felony and misdemeanor punishable by Articles 230,231 of the Penal Code and Articles 1/1,25 bis/1,30/1 of Law 394 of 1954 amended by Laws No. 26 For the year 1978, 165 for the year 1981, 5 for the year 2019 and item No. “6” of Schedule No. “1” attached to the first law and amended by a decision of the Minister of Interior No. 1756 of 2007.

After reviewing Article 214 of the Code of Criminal Procedure amended by Law 170 of 1981, it was decided to refer the judge to the competent criminal court in the Mansoura Appeals Court department to punish the accused in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned indictment articles, while continuing to imprison the accused in connection with the case, assigning a lawyer to defend the accused, and accompanying the criminal case to the accused, and notifying the accused of the referral order.

It is noteworthy that the decision to refer came 48 hours following the incident, and the fourth circuit of the Mansoura Criminal Court is formed by Counselor Bahaa El-Din Al-Marri, head of the court and the circuit, and includes in its membership counselors Saeed Al-Samadouni, Muhammad Al-Sharnoubi, Hisham Ghaith, the Secretariat of Muhammad Jamal, and Mahmoud Abdel-Razek.

According to the statement of the Public Prosecutor, the Public Prosecution had established evidence before the accused from the testimony of 25 witnesses, including students, university security personnel, and shop workers in the vicinity of the incident, and they confirmed their vision of the accused in the event of its commission.

Counselor Bahaa al-Din al-Marri, head of the Mansoura Criminal Court, “the Fourth Circuit”, which is competent to hear cases from the first department of Mansoura and Gamasa, will chair next Sunday’s session, the first trial of a university student accused of killing his colleague, “Nira Ashraf” in front of Mansoura University.
