When the artist Faten Hamama was asked regarding Souad Hosni, she said what it says that she is one of the most beautiful faces that have appeared in the history of cinema, and when Souad was asked regarding Faten Hamama, she said that she is Umm Kulthum of cinema.

The dispute between the two stars started from some critics and journalists following Faten Hamama was awarded the title of Star of the Twentieth Century in 1996, as some objected, including Soad Hosni’s fans, who said that this title provoked them.

But the differences were regarding some films. The late artist Souad Hosni entered into a legal conflict with director Henry Barakat for the movie “My Love,” which she was scheduled to star in. Accordingly, Labib Moawad, Cinderella’s lawyer, went to Beirut while carrying a court ruling issued by the Cairo Court that includes Stop the movie Baby if you don’t star in it.

At that time, Lawyer Labib stated that there was an agreement between the Arab countries to exchange the execution of sentences between them without taking any legal measures, and that the Cairo court ruling was valid for implementation in Beirut, according to what was published by Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper on October 21, 1972.

Soad Hosni commented: I was surprised by someone following I was ready to travel to Lebanon, informing me that the artist Faten Hamama will travel to Lebanon to play the lead role instead of me, and I was very surprised because I reviewed the script several times with director Henry Barakat, and everything related to the role was examined And when I researched regarding it, I was sure that it was true.

The role did not interest me in the first place, but what angered me was Barakat’s sudden stance and Faten Hamama’s stance as well, because she knew very well that this movie was shown to me and I gave my consent, and I was ready to give up the film simply if Barakat agreed with me through dialogue, but the method he followed forced me to take a stand It fits with his position, which he considered an insult to me and a breach of the contract between us.

I asked the lawyer to take measures that preserve my moral right and so that this incident does not become a precedent for not respecting the contract with artists. My right was proven by a court ruling that confirms that I did not breach my obligations and there was no dispute between me and Barakat.

Despite all of the above, the late artist Souad Hosni suspended the execution of the ruling so that the film would not be exposed to material and moral damage, and that this in the end did not satisfy her with the loss of any artist or artist.

In 1971, the late star Faten Hamama presented one of the most famous films she starred in, The Thin Thread, in front of the rising artist at the time, Mahmoud Yassin.

The scenes of this film also witnessed a fierce war between the two parties, Faten Hamama and the star Suad Hosni, and the details of the incident say that producer Ramses Naguib wanted to cooperate with Faten Hamama, so he presented her with more than one story, and she replied that there is a story by Ihsan Abdel Quddus that she wants to represent.

This story was the story of The Thin Thread, and Ramses Naguib told it that he had actually bought it from Ihsan Abdel Quddus.

The lawsuit was filed by producer Sobhi Farhat, on the grounds that he bought the story from Jamal Al-Laithi, who had bought it from Ihsan Abdel Quddus.

The court yards witnessed a judicial dispute between Ramses Naguib and Sobhi Farhat, but Ihsan Abdel Quddous demanded the forfeiture of Sobhi Farhat’s right to the story following five years of buying it without production.

Sobhi Farhat decided to produce the film in Lebanon, to be directed by Atef Salem, and starring Soad Hosni, but Ihsan Abdel Quddus issued an order to stop production in Lebanon, until Souad Hosni announced that she had given up starring in the film, on the grounds that it was unreasonable to compete with Faten. pigeon.
