Thiruvananthapuram: The Vizhinjam strike was discussed by the strike committee with the cabinet sub-committee on Monday. Although the ministers came for discussion on Sunday evening, the strike committee leaders did not come. Fr. Eugene Pereira, Vicar General of the Latin Archdiocese, said that he did not participate in the discussion because it was not officially announced.

He said that the statement of the minister V. Sivankutty that the fishermen demanded to participate in the discussion with the diocese is malicious.

Meanwhile, the protesters have decided to block land and sea on Monday. The High Court is hearing the plea filed by Adani Group seeking protection on Monday. The Latin Archdiocese will approach the High Court on Monday seeking to add a party to this petition.
