The formation of a massive star – almost 30 times the mass of the Sun – in a constellation of the Milky Way has been captured in images by the Hubble Space Telescope.

The star named IRAS 16562-3959 is being created regarding 5,900 light years from Earth, NASA said in a press release on Friday. It is likely to be one of the brightest stars in the galaxy.
This new star is located in the constellation Scorpio, which owes its name to its resemblance to the animal of the same name.
In the photo, it is possible to see shadow areas created by dust which would block certain waves of light from the star, explained the space agency.
Significant jets of light are still visible at the top left and bottom right of the image.
“Multi-wavelength images like this incredible Hubble scene help us better understand how the most massive and brightest stars in our galaxy form,” NASA said.
