A Reddit user named “Ugleh” on Sunday posted an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated image of a spiral-shaped medieval village that quickly caught the attention of netizens due to its remarkable geometric harmony.
Reactions to the artwork online ranged from amazement to respect for developing something new in AI-created art.

“I have never seen such images. Something new in the art world,” one user wrote.
“I’ve been at this for a long time and this is some of the most impressive work I’ve ever seen. You did a good job,” wrote artist Kali Yuga.

Ugleh subsequently published other images, which he created using steady streaming and a guidance technique called ControlNet.

Not everyone was impressed by Ugleh’s works, however.

“It’s pretty, but there are a lot of decisions a human wouldn’t make. A lot of shadows aren’t right, and placing chimneys right above windows doesn’t make sense,” one user wrote.
