On average, a femicide occurs in Austria every other week. For the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women” on November 25th, the two Thermomix representatives from Upper Austria, Christian Biebl and Marianne Wörndl, have come up with a special initiative. “The majority of our customers are women. Hearing that the most dangerous place for a woman is her own home makes us particularly sad. We want to do something,” says Thermomix consultant Christian Biebl from Neuzeug.
With every Thermomix sale, Biebl and Wörndl donate ten percent of their commission to the PIA association. PIA stands for a non-profit organization in Linz that offers advice and therapy for sexual violence and advocates for prevention and sexual education.
