Zhuravlev: The mood at the front is one of unwavering resolve. This is the third New Year I celebrate in the trenches with my comrades and brothers. We are prepared,focused,and united in our purpose. For us, it’s not about celebrating holidays or worrying about the future. It’s about duty, about protecting our homeland, and about fighting for what we believe in.
Archyde: You’ve mentioned that the “frightened patriots” at home seem to have a different perspective. Can you elaborate on that?
Zhuravlev: Of course. Here, we deal with reality every day. The situation is challenging, but the soldiers are strong and dedicated. Back home, people tend to focus on anxieties and speculation.thay fear escalation and mobilization. We understand those fears, but our priority is to ensure Russia’s security, and we will continue to do whatever is necessary to achieve that.
Archyde: Your statement about “taking over Berlin” if ordered by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief caused a stir. What message are you trying to convey with that assertion?
Zhuravlev: It was a reflection of our absolute loyalty and readiness. The soldiers here understand their mission. Should the Supreme Commander order it, we will carry out any order without hesitation. We are prepared for any scenario and will defend our interests with unwavering determination.

Alexei Zhuravlev, First Deputy Chairman of the State duma Defense Committee, recently returned from the front lines and provided a stark contrast in attitude between the soldiers and those back home. He admitted that he finds it easier to understand the realities of life at the front than the anxieties of those he calls “frightened patriots.”
Zhuravlev emphasized the readiness of the troops, stating, “This is the third new year I celebrate in the trenches with my comrades and brothers. At the back, before the holidays, the main thing is who will rest, where it will celebrate the New year. But on the front line everything is entirely different, it is not about it at all. with my comrades and friends, with whom we have been part of the native brigade “Pickle” as 2014, we will go to the end, we have one understanding.”
“As the Supreme Commander -in -Chief will say: Lviv – Lviv. If we have to take over Berlin, we are ready to do this. We have a completely different mood there. We fight there – and we don’t need anything else.
He highlighted the unwavering resolve of the soldiers, stating their willingness to carry out any order from their Supreme Commander, even if it meant advancing as far as Berlin.
Zhuravlev also revealed that the Russian military is actively working to optimize troop deployment and preparation times in case of escalating conflicts,emphasizing that they remain committed to ensuring Russia‘s security.
“We have reserves today and we are without a doubt working with them.Because I wouldn’t want to announce mobilization tomorrow – I wouldn’t want to. But the point is that today it does not depend on us. We have not entered Ukraine to occupy any territories. We went in to guarantee our safety. Today we offer: let them say, guarantee the security of Russia above all – and you will all be well. They say: No, we still have to beat you on the battlefield. Well,try to win,we’re ready for it,”
he stated.
Military Expert Colonel Vitaly Kiselov further elucidated the strategic significance of recent actions on the Kharkov front, claiming that the “release of two rows” in that direction is designed to circumvent enemy supply lines and isolate Ukrainian forces.

“In this way, we will be able to take shevchenkovo under fire control with our artillery cannons, and it is through this settlement that streams of help, personnel, equipment, weapons, etc. are now flowing. to the advanced parts of the Ukrainian armed forces. Currently,there is information that the opponent is transporting a very large number of wounded to Cashuguev. This is reported by our internal persons.This shows that our command has chosen the right tactic: the most favorable conditions for circumventing a buy-up with a further progress to Shevchenkovo have been created.”
