A delegation from Hezbollah visited the city of Sidon, and toured a number of its political activities. The visit included deputies Dr. Abd al-Rahman al-Bizri and Dr. Osama Saad, Secretary-General of the People’s Democratic Party Muhammad Hashisho, and head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars Sheikh Maher Hammoud.
In its statement, Hezbollah indicated that “the delegation headed by former Minister Mahmoud al-Qamati congratulated the city’s two deputies on their victory in the parliamentary elections, and discussed with the leaders it visited, the local and regional political situations, in light of the rapid developments in the region, especially Biden’s visit.” And the repercussions of the gas-related maritime border delimitation file, the upcoming visit of the Russian President, as well as the internal situation related to the entitlement to form the government, which has faltered so far.
Opinions were unanimous on “the necessity of getting out of the state of stagnation, and expediting the formation of the government to begin immediately and urgently to address the life and livelihood issues of concern to citizens.”

The delegation also visited the former candidate from the Sidon Jezzine district, Muhammad Shaker al-Qawas, at his home in Al-Hilaliya, and then moved to offer condolences to the Nasserite leader, Misbah Al-Zein, on the death of his late father, Munir Al-Zein, and then to Ahmed Al-Jubaili’s house in Haret Sidon.
