Bellegarde-en-Marche. Come and discover the sky and its stars in Bellegarde-en-Marche. In August some planets in our solar system are visible to the naked eye. To help you find your way around the sky, the La Luciole association is organizing “La nuit des étoiles” with Julien Dupoux, geographer, tomorrow Thursday August 18, in Bellegarde-en-Marche.
This evening will begin on the Place de la Mairie around the pizza truck. Tables and chairs will be made available to participants. At 8:30 p.m., Lucette will accompany you to the Notre-Dame de Bellegarde chapel with her storytelling walk “Le rekindler d’étoiles”.
A light snack will be available for newcomers while waiting for the first stars to appear.
Lying comfortably on the ground, you will let yourself be guided by Julien who will reveal the night sky to you, he will help you to find your bearings, to name the stars. With him you will discover Venus, Saturn, Jupiter… and all those luminous points which are light years away and which illuminate our cloudless nights.
If the weather is not cooperative, a fallback solution is provided. Julien will tell you regarding astronomy differently. He will make you travel in the sky in a different way, he will tell you regarding the stars, the constellations, and many other things. Come with paper and pencils.
Either way, it will be an eventful evening. Participation is free. There will be two hats: one for storytelling, the other for astronomy.
