The Egyptian government continues its measures to confront the sixth wave of the Corona virus, and the Ministry of Health appealed to citizens to adhere to the precautionary measures, wear a mask, and obtain a refresher dose of the Corona vaccine.

The ministry called on citizens not to be in crowded places because Corona is not finally over, while the Egyptian Company for the Management and Operation of the Subway announced the continuation of preventing entry to any passenger without wearing a mask, and whoever violates this will expose himself to a fine of 50 pounds.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said that there is a rise in social infection rates with the Corona virus, but hospital admissions are still at their lowest rates since the beginning of the pandemic, and the number of deaths are at their lowest rates since the beginning of the pandemic.

Abdel Ghaffar added, during television statements, that the severity of the disease did not increase, but its spread became higher, due to the long period following vaccination, which makes the immune system less able to resist the virus.

While Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Preventive Affairs, confirmed that most of the cases infected with Corona are now under control, and most of them are treated at home through doctors’ medications.
