To burn body fat – Hossam Mowafi recommends this system

Some people believe that eating one meal a day helps to lose weight and burn body fat, and this was denied by Dr. Hossam Mowafi, Professor of Critical Cases at Kasr Al-Aini College of Medicine.

Muwafi said during his program, “My Lord, give me knowledge”, which is broadcast on Echo Al-Balad channel, that eating one meal a day does not help in losing weight, as many promote, but rather leads to obesity.

The professor of critical care medicine recommended eating three main meals, in addition to two snacks, with the need not to overeat and to calculate the calories consumed throughout the day, to ensure weight loss and raise the rate of burning fat in the body.

He added that the body needs to burn the accumulated fat in it to get 1200 calories per day on average, which may increase or decrease depending on physical activity.

He explained that physical activity is one of the factors controlling the rate of calories needed to burn body fat, adding: “An active person needs 1500 calories, compared to 1000 calories for a sedentary person.”
