TO BE FOLLOWED | Obvious Technologies improves safety management in critical situations

TO FOLLOW – Each week, find a focus on an innovative technology, app or start-up.

Founded in 2018 by General Thierry Orosco (former GIGN commander), Naoufal El Ouali and Béranger Kabbas, Obvious Technologies provides command and control tools to accelerate strategic and tactical decision making for safety, security and critical operators. His observation: more and more data is collected through various field equipment and other connected objects (IoT) but very little is used effectively to improve safety and security; on the other hand, the existing digital twin and 3D visualization tools are complex to deploy and use in real time, which makes them very little operational.

ConcRecently, the start-up developed an open platform called “OODA” (Observe, Orient, Decide and Act) which takes care of feeding back data from sensors (traffic, security, geolocation, transport, etc.) within a digital twin. Once collected and analyzed, this data makes it possible to simulate, anticipate and predict different scenarios, but also to react, in real time, to a critical situation.

“Our “Command & Control” solutions are used in the world of security, in particular by state organisations, Operators of Vital Importance (OIV) and for major events, explains Thierry Orosco, President and co-founder of Obvious Technologies. In 2023, we will finish developing Agenz, our mobile application which is establishing itself as a key component of our software suite so that all actors and professionals, whether in command posts or in the field, can have high-performance tools that meet the challenges of the critical missions to be carried out. “.

Obvious Technologies operates in various markets such as smart mobility, protection of sensitive sites, security for major events and places open to the public, ports & logistics infrastructure, airports, cities and urban communities, as well as surveillance and information. . In France, the company has deployed its solution in Cac 40 companies, local authorities and government services (such as GIGN). The latter is also present in the Gulf countries: in Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and even Neom, the city of the future under development in Saudi Arabia.
