The Indonesian National Army (TNI) is currently reviewing the name change of the TNI Information Center (Puspen) to the TNI Communication and Information Center (Puskominfo).
This was stated by the Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center (Kapuspen) Major General Nugraha Gumilar following the Coffee Morning event for Friends of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Prima, at the Indonesian National Armed Forces Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Wednesday (3/7).
“The study has been around since last year, now we are trying with the staff to make it sharper. Because so far the information has only been in the nature of providing information to the bottom without us hearing information from below to us,” said Gumilar, Wednesday (3/7).
“With this two-way communication, it is appropriate that the name is Puskominfo, so that we open ourselves to what our weaknesses are, please inform us,” he added.
Gumilar said that he needed input from fellow journalists so that Puskominfo might continue to improve itself in the future so that in the future it might present a better TNI.
“We have completed all of this review, hopefully when we have time we will convey it to the leadership and this can be realized,” he said.

Gumilar explained that the change of name from Puspen to Puskominfo was more regarding the duties and responsibilities of the members.
Gumilar also guaranteed that he would not add too many officers to Puskominfo.
“In fact, our organizational structure will be the same as the organizational structure in the editor-in-chief so that Apple to Apple the positions we have are the same as the positions in the editor-in-chief or media, so that the relationship below is smoother,” he emphasized.
