After charming everyone almost a year ago now, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge returns today to the front of the stage to announce what we’ve all been waiting for: a release window.

Finally a launch window

Since its announcement on March 10, 2021, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Shredder’s Revenge is very mysterious when it comes to talking regarding its release date… But today, Dotemu, the nostalgic French publisher of the 16-bit world, finally took the floor to announce that the beat’em up from Tribute Games (Mercenary Kings, Panzer Paladin) will land on our machines faster than expected. In effect, the game will land on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch this summer. Unfortunately, we don’t have more details on this, but it’s a good start.

A little extra surprise

As you probably already know, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will allow players to embody April O’Neil, Master Splinter and of course the Ninja Turtles! Good news, in order to pay tribute to its emblematic heroes, we learn today that the official voices (English) of the characters of the cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Scale Knights will resume service. In other words, actors Cam Clarke, Townsend Coleman, Barry Gordon and Rob Paulsen will resume their roles to play Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphaël respectively in the game. What we hope on our side is that the French cast will also be there.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is the marriage of two retrogaming experts: Dotemu is a developer and publisher renowned for its faithful ports, its impeccable remakes and its successful sequels of beloved video game licenses like Streets of Rage 4 (thunderous hit named in the Best Action Game category at the Games Awards 2020), the long-awaited Windjammers 2, or the remarkable Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Tribute Games is the studio behind the excellent Panzer Paladin, Flinthook and Mercenary Kings, titles that offer a devilishly retro feeling with resolutely modern mechanics. Tribute Games welcomes talents who notably officiated on the beat’em up Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game and the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, released for Game Boy Advance in 2007.

As a reminder, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, expected for this summer on all current platforms, will offer an original adventure that is strongly inspired by the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, the game released on Super Nintendo in 1992. Everything will be playable for four on the same screen and will allow fans of the series to send the Foot clan underground once and for all.
